One of the (minor) frustrations in EB is that, for dead characters, you cannot see whether or not they were any good. Also notable is the fact that many rulers of the hellenistic states in the period had bynames to identify them relative to their ancestors and successors. So, is there any chance of implementing some form of this for EB2?
One possible approach might be to make the "Faction leader" trait required to be a precursor to all byname traits, along with the trait to which the byname refers; and make the byname traits anti-traits to each other - so once you get one, it sticks. This means we could have a Soter, Philopater, Gonatas, Poliorketes, Monophthalmos, Keraunos, Theos, Arrhidaeus, Philadelphus, Epiphanes, Tryphon, Nikator, Physcon... maybe even Alexandros for the really spectacular conquerors - or Dionysos for the really spectacular drunks.
Any thoughts?
