Again the problem comes down to group sizes, it isn't nearly as epic as one dragon taking down a regiment then it is as ten dragons doing it. It would be awesome if someone modded it so that you could have singe units.

But kinda cool none the less

personally I think their stupid, if I wanted a mystical flying beastie... I'd want it to dive and fire at the same time... I'd want it to fly around the battlefeild at diffrent altitudes and swoop around, then land and eat people, and if two of them fight, I want something simmilar to that last fight in the matrix revelations

..not simply hovering around in a big group and stopping every time it feels like shooting fire at people, its just, not the same.

This has been done several times, one of the LOTR has flying dragon thingies... There's even a funky video on youtube with them fighting a unit of tanks modded into tw (I think bwain made the tanks didn't he?)

Sorry - I'm not the part of WTW team, but I think you should ignore the dragons. I believe that the any non-character unit of this strenght will break the balance in MTW2 battle system. I'm High Elf player, so it would be perfect for me, as the HE army often uses dragons (ie. Dragon Mages (mage on dragon), that are only at 350 cost and 2 Hero choice - only dragon avaiable in the limit <2k) - but I think it whould change MTW into who-build-a-lot-of-dragons-first game.

Not so, there are means of controlling their production, limit them to specific provinces, place them high up the tech tree, a low replenishment rate and with kingdoms its possible to limit recruitment with a script.

Yes, and that way we can have unic units, such us the ones from the mercenaries. This way we could have no more than a Ruglud's regiment/cursed company/etc at the same time. It would be perfect, (and horrible if we could have those unic units about 10 times per faction).

not that into dragons, kinda messes up balance imo.
