Hi guys! I m wondering, is it possible to play both the saved games of regular and modded once the mod is downloaded

Yes it is.
VM runs in its own mod folder so has its own save folder there. To run the mod, you run it via a shortcut, and if you don't use the shortcut, you simply are playing unmodded ~:)
