Upgrading Troops

Does anyone remember from Shogun TW, the option to upgrade troops once a new technology has been achieved? I think that that would be a great addition to this mod and TW in general. The realism of this mod would be greatly enhanced from this. I don't think when Augustus reformed the legions he would have started from scratch - he would have upgraded the current cohorts. That way the new legions wouldn't be totally inexperienced soldiers - they would be vets and as such, when they do become the numbered legions, they should be numbered legions with some gusto.

Not possible it's hardcoded as it is, no upgrading from one unit to another, at least not without extensive scripting which IMO is not worth the drawbacks.
