And no, I am not naive enough to think that anyone will actually show up.

Maybe one or two by accident will wander in.

But so be it!

Worth the effort.

We will have our game on this “very” challenging map (hills and river) from the ETW Map Pack.

If we do get enough for a full game, it will be worth asking that the Org to issue a badge to commemorate the event for both Champion, and all participants alike.

All Welcome, and Good Hunting!

I assume as there are no comments, that we can call the above rules as Final Rules :knight:

The first battle went well with two contestants, and 4 bot allies.

Two additions to the rules:

4 max Riflemen

In games involving bot armies, the high score kill winner does not have to be on the winning side, as you do not have control over the bot allies.

In the first game:

Old Duke (and bots) vs. Tomisama (and bots)

Old Duke scored 758 kills
Tomisama scored 676 kills

The Old Duke is the winner :2thumbsup:

Just a closing thought on this, for those who might be interested.

Playing with bot-allies takes the same skills as playing with real folks. Well really more, because you can’t communicate with them, but everything else is the same as far as teamwork is concerned. You must coordinate with your team to the best advantage for all, the same as they are doing with you (the AI has to consider your moves too).

The best application of plus-bot games happens when you choose the same faction for all on your allied team. This gives you a better picture of what to do to best maneuver those under your direct control without having to consider if the other units are on your side or not. And using same-faction allies also hides the human player in the grand-armie of the faction, to better confuse your opponent.

Playing against the AI is flat.

But playing against another live player with AI allies is some serious fun.

It really makes for an interesting challenge. Something new!
