So how good ETWmp is after all?

So nearly 8 months have passed now and ETW has received 5 patches and new maps for mp.

How would mp players rate the game at this (seemingly) final state?

i stopped playing a long time ago, which is sorta my own fault. however, i don't think they delivered a good product for the cost, and when you consider what was so easy to get right a few years ago.

maybe i just moved away from the series on my own, but i think the game changed in a direction i wasn't willing to follow. special forces that costs more and and gives you in game perks sorta solidified my initial thought. so did finland. you'd have had me if there was more than finland to start with, and for the first six months.

It's good enough for us to have 138 players in the first round of our second land competition.

46 three man teams from all over the world hit the battlefield threee weeks ago.

Is the game perfect?

Of course not, but it is good enough for fightin and fun :2thumbsup:

Did you buy it to have perfection, or to get together with your friends and have a good time?

Well the thing that you have fun most with Tomisama is community building. This is what you do and enjoy best, so it is hardly surprising that you find the game good enough for this purpose. Dont get me wrong, i see your point of view and i respect you as a player and fellow and your work very much. And i do appreciate that your vote (that can be none other than good:beam:) is genuine, but isnt all this somewhat irrelevant to the question how good the game is?

PS Its hardly surprising with the sales ETW had and steam to have the No of players you have in CWC no matter how good the game was now, is it?

I used to play empires multiplayer (still good i guess) although i did get sick of it i did think it was good, at least for a while, loading times were strangely shorter online than on single player and i did have some fairly good online games, helps when you no the people your playing with, like i had a connection with luigithepizzaman, joshuana and a few others so it was interesting...but i did get fed up of it mostly because i never really got into that era plus thanks to mine and other peoples slow computers a lot of games crashed and desyncronized.

The lack of a Lobby/Foyer has been the biggest downfall of ETW in my opinion.
