Units in Napoleon Total War (NTW).
I think that the units were presented at the screens look great. CA made great soldiers as well as in mods. There is a huge variety of uniforms and other details. Napoleon's units look much better than the units in Empire TW (ETW).
After my observation of the screenshots and video clips come to the following conclusions. In NTW Each faction will now have a diverse roster of units in historical uniform as possible. I didn't meet the latest screenshots that would be grossly unhistorical. CA really tried.
In ETW we had unhistorical rosters eg light dragoons for each faction in Europe and inaccurate uniforms. In addition, ETW Each fraction was identical uniforms (like the British), but recoloured of individual countries. In ETW lacked characteristics for the nation. Roster of units of each fraction was very poor and the difference in uniforms between individuals such as dragoons, musketeers (and other units) and the guards were small. Only the purchase of new units (DLC) introduced a few differences. In NTW we will get units with historical uniforms, in addition to the variety of each faction (at least from what I saw in the major is: France, United Kingdom, Russia, Prussia, Austria, Spain, Sweden). Factions will differ from their accents that characterize the national-cultural. If the screens painted in black and white, you can immediately recognize what a state the various details.
ETW had only the uniforms of one period, with no breakdown by age - mostly from the late 18th century. Although the game began in 1700 had only one unit - pikemen stylized uniform of early 18th century. Now NTW after what you see on the screens will have units from: 1) early Napoleonic era (mostly in line infantry- Bicornes hats and gaitres); 2) late Napoleonic era (mostly in line infantry- Shako and long trousers).
In ETW there was no hair variety. In NTW taken various hairstyles from the sideburns and white wigs (which were common in the 18th century, but they failed to ETW). There are also various types of uniforms trumpeters, drummers for individual regiments.
It is a little bug in uniform. These aren't very striking features, which can be improved in mods. I give one example. Hussars haven't characteristical belts. Jack lusted is confirmed. Graphic forgot about it. CA for making units have beer from me. :) If my assumptions are confirmed we will get the game with the most diverse and historical units in the history of Total War.
A few interesting examples of screenshots:
1. Cuirassiers diverse are the fractions - from armor to details of their uniform:
