This thread is to assist with registration for The Tosa Cup. Registration is open to everyone and involves only a few simple steps:


You must have a registered Org forum account. If you do not have one yet, you must register and create one.
Go to the Tosa Cup Tournament (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/tournaments.php?do=view&id=18) itself and click the Join Tournament button.
Make a post in this thread with your Steam name and Clan name, in this format:

In order to particpate in the tournament, you MUST have an Org forum account because without an account we cannot add your name in the tournament utility (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/tournaments.php?do=view&id=18). Since the utility creates the bracket and manages all tournament games, it is impossible for you to participate if you are not in that system. As such, the following posts have NOT registered the people requested. If these players want to participate, they need to come here and create a forum account.

We've been talking about the timing situation. We very much want to make this a really intense and active tournament and we hope we can get it done in the 1-2 night time frame that is indicated. However, if a large number of the participants are having problems completing their matches, we will switch over to a 1 week time limit per round (at least for the first couple rounds with lots of players). Hopefully we can do it faster though.

Wow, ho ho, this dont sound fair. I want random teamups. Who is gonna decide who is a gd player and not. This must be a total fair tourney, and this dont belong to it. I want random generated bracktets or i will witdraw, its like saying holland and spain shoulnt be in the same group in the WoldCup of soccer because 1 of them possibly gets eliminated. Get it it fair gents, remember luck should always be a part of the winner, if he will get an easy route to the final, so it shall be.

Changes will only be made if something looks really wrong. Hopefully there will be nothing. If there we do make a change, we will post the exact nature of the change and why we did it. I doubt we will even need to use it, but this is a new system and we've never run a large tournament on it before, so we're being extra-cautious and making plans for all contingencies. Even in an extreme scenario, I cannot possibly imagine more than 1 or 2 changes (out of 74 players). Most likely there will be none.

That's perfectly fine with me, under two conditions:
1) The players themselves don't mind (get their permission when the brackets get to that point).
2) Your need to be online at the same time as the matches doesn't cause scheduling issues with the players themselves. I don't want to see the matches delayed exclusively for recording purposes.

If you can handle that, you can call yourself the Official Tosa Cup Commentator in any commentary you do of them. :grin:
Frankly, as long as the above conditions are met, you can spec and record ANY match in the tournament.

The bracket was generated before you posted, sorry. If there is a last minute drop-out or you are ONLINE when we declare someone a no-show, I will substitute you for the player that is being removed. However, it's your responsibility to be online to get substituted. If you're not around, I'm not going to hold up a match waiting.

Also, try and keep any swearing out of the commentaries. We try and keep this entire forum family friendly and we've got some younger patrons, so it gives us less of a headache if we don't have to slap language warnings on things. :bow:
