would a world war 2 mod be possible?

Would a world war 2 mod with tanks and artillary and rapid fire be posssible? also would it be possible to only have skrmisher units? to have the feel of ww2?

I don't know if it's possible but it'd certainly be cool. Maybe the new files CA gave us in July will help.
