Website Brawl - Official Challenge

I have officially posted up the challenge to all Shogun Total War community sites here in the Tournaments and Announcements section.

If you run a website for Shogun Total War, that isn't specifically a "Clan" site, then you are eligible to compete in this event. Please read the challenge and post up your interest and/or ideas for the event. An official List Of Sites that we know of that are eligible (or formally challenged! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif) will be posted all around the community on Sunday.

Below is a list of the active sites for Shogun Total War that are invited to take part in this "Website Brawl".
Only the Webmasters, content designers, and Forum Moderators may compete. The event will most likely be 2vs2 and 3vs3 competition. For those of you who don't have anyone else on staff, they may recruit teammates from around your circle.

Since there's been some interest expressed by Clan Sites - I think we can accomodate. For this one, the entry rules are simple - Webmasters, Designers, Moderators, etc. Only! I will also make a move to impose this rule: Your site needs to have been updated within the past 30 days - prior to the event. So if your site is dated 6/19/00 as the last time you updated the news or what have you - then don't bother signing up.

This is meant to be a fun event. This event will promote the current communitie's sites. We hope that we can get everyone who runs a site involved. It will also go towards showing that we know what we play, and we play what we say we know. It's good PR too.

My question is what happens if you have "staff" that is active on more than one site? Do they get multiple entries?

Case in point; Elmark and myself are both moderators here. In addition, we are both members of FearfulWays! Do we get two entries into the brawl?

And why is this here instead of the Clan/Tourney Forum anyway?

Considering this, I opted to include 2 divisions. You may enter both divisions, but if your clan and your site are both in the final battle - you may only choose to side with one of them http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif.
Modems are a prerequisite Erado-san http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif Dial-up, DSL, Cable, etc. are all fine. Though, in your case, all you should need to do is stay online long enough to start the battle then you are free to drop http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif, I'm sure your armies will be fine without you.
I've got a list of all the current staff of all of these sites, and I will keep an eye on it and you all. The only people that can hire Mercenaries for this are those that honestly don't have enough players to field at least a 3 man team.
In my site's case I have 1 other staff member, JayDee Daidoji, and will be looking to gather 1 other player to help out with the cause. I don't expect us all needing 4 players, unless each team can bring a host who can do a stable 4vs4 game.
Let me know what other suggestions you all have for this. I'll post up the details as soon as I get a few of the other sites to post a reply to this.

I think the idea of a challenge tourney is fine. Obake and myself will be more than happy to play in it, but I have forgotten . . is this going to be a one on one, two on two, or combination of the two. Just let us know when the tourney is and we will be there. Elmarko

I'll post up the details for this event and the entrants so far. I'm still waiting on word from a bunch of sites, so I think I'll have to email them directly to make sure they know what's up. (Not everyone is a forum hound)
