View Full Version : Curiosity Question Of A Femine Nature

Carbonel

Are there any other female players on these boards...?

*Peers around cautiously*

Carbonel

(Apologies for being a not entirely game related post - I would've posted in The Tavern but can't for obvious reasons.)

wasabi is a fairly active female member (hangs out in Tavern). Not many more, I'm afraid. Sadly, I can't sort the member database by gender to give you a better answer.

Hey Guys,

When I heard about the Avatar feature in Control Panel, I went to look for it.

I learned two things.

I don't yet have 500 posts to qualify for an Avatar.

I'd accidentally checked myself as Female in the Gender section.

So I was a Female Member for about a week.

Had a strange effect on me. Kept wanting to Mod my armies Pink.

Fixed it though.

Mary Queen of Scots is a lady (although Queen has different connotations here in Sydney)
Swoosh is also.
The Naked Geisha naturally enough is.
As is my beloved Wasabi.

There are a few others I believe.

Well Mith, funny you should tag me as feminine. When I was employed, I was known a the girlfriend to the females I worked with. Going out to lunch in a van with six other women, I'd switch on girl mode and start talking like them. I'd even get catty at times. They loved it. Nothing quite like six women laughing hysterically with tears rolling down their cheeks. The only drawback was that one of them was driving... I'm surprise she didn't wreck the van.

I do realize that most guys didn't read very far into this post. Most got distracted at the ...in a van with six women... part. What can I say? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif We girls have to stick together. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/shock.gif

In order to say something about the topic http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I know exactly one woman who plays computer games, and she doesn`t play Total War. She prefers RPG type games.

Nothing wrong with that.

quite an intriguing saying,

i'll go with a straight translation though,
and here, the world is not dangerous,

not even the ex Monsters Inc. employees we have moderating the EH,

big, hairy, ugly, with long pointed fangs (and i have it on good authority that Gregoshi is a cousin of Randall and thus has Chameleon abilities hi girlfriend http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif),
but dangerous?
never

Monsters Inc?
you've never seen Monsters Inc?

make sure you watch the credits at the end too
Pixar are a bunch of geniuses,
i can also recommend A Bug's Life and Both Toy Stories,

who said they were kids movies? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

Gregoshi

I've seen the other movies you mentioned, but for some reason I could never get into Monsters, Inc. I saw several trailers for the movie and a number of the commercials, and I found it very unfunny - and those are supposed to be some of the good bits I think I have burned out on the wise-cracking duos that are pretty much a requirement in today's animated movies.

Having said that, I really should rent it because everyone tells me how good it is.

You know how it is.
It's a computer game...that looses about 3/4 of the female population.
It's a strategy game...there goes another stampede.
It's a historical wargame....and there go the hold outs.
Ah well.
My wife would rather dive into lava then play a game like MTW...of course that means no competition for the computer so its not all bad

rasoforos
11-22-2002, 07:19
the above is true . although my girlfriend plays all the games i buy to the end she wont even touch MTW....

Rosacrux
11-22-2002, 08:56
My wife works on a comp (she is a graphic designer) but never, ever has played a single game. Women are not really into this kind of entertainment.

Of course, when a shopping simulator hits the stores, I am sure she won't let me even touch the computer http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
