Just the moderators,Admins & senior members can use this feature , for several reasons, main one : to reduce serverstress.

If you send me a cheque though, I can pull some strings and enable PM-ing for ye...50$ should do the trick.

well its something to do with the servers, if everyone sent private messages then servers may not be able to handle it

Mithrandir when will the senior member lists be updated?

Not likely that it'll be updated soon, as it is right now ,there are only 15 Senior Members, those are all people who have done a lot for the community (f.e. Target, Giljaysmith etc.), so do your best you might become #16, but ont count on it too much, besides the PM system is overrated http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif.

Senior Members are nominated by someone on the Org staff. To be honest, I don't think many of us look at that member status, see Junior Member and think, You know, so-and-so deserves to be a Senior Member. However enough people have commented about the Senior Member level that maybe we should periodically look for nominees.

And Mith is right, PM is overrated - I just love getting the same message as a PM and an email. But PM is nice if you need to take a discussion offline and don't have the person's email address.

frankly, i just bribed one of the staff with free access to a porn site to get mine. of course, what they dont know is that this is one of those sites that has very heavy spyware, so every time they access the site i get paid a little bit. i'm currently getting very rich ;)

and yes, the pm service is a bit overrated, and if you shorten that out to pms, then you'll understand it's not always a boon.
