Ok in sp when u have captured men and u decide to kill them does any1 know what the sound effect is supposed to be?

I've never heard that bit clearly until now, when I've gone looking for the sound in Windows.

I'm appalled to say that I think it's the sound of blood spraying and dripping all over the place. If so, Jeff, you're a sick, sick man

yeah whenever I play MTW with my girlfriend in the room, I'm always a little embarassed by some of the sounds. always get the http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif everytime the computer talks.
The enemy general has been captured And awaits your tender mercy, is always a hit with the ladies....

The sizzling flesh sound effect as an assassin you've captured is forced to put out hot irons with his body is unpleasant, and VERY unpopular with wifey.

In MP, or any other battle, I am hearing a hollow click noise, like two light hollow wooden tubes tapping against each other. This sound occurs in the heat of battle. What does it mean??

never noticed the hollow click before,
i'm usually too busy - if i'm playing Gregoshi i'm trying to run to ground as many of his men as possible before his last unit routs,
if i'm playing Mith then i'm trying to rally as many units as possible to make a half decent last stand

Many weapons had wooden handles : I think that's the wooden clonk noise . It's also bloody funny , like a Goon Show sound effect http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I like the lingering screams after a battle . The sound of arbalaster bolts smacking into enemy troops is also quite satisfying http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

my favourite sound is in MP when the game lags and there is a flight of arrows in the air.. move the camera amongst them, and hear endless sounds of arrows flying through the air going nowhere
