Battle speech?

I was playing in mp tonight and i realised whats missing an audio file that gets played when u try to regroup a unit after routing.

ie. You may take our lives but u will never take our freedom or Once more onto the breach my men etc.

I'd like to hear the charge bugle call. Ever seen apocolypse now??? There's one scene where they play it as helicopters from the 7th cavalry take off. Its a good flick, you should see it if you haven't already.

I cant remember if they got warcries or charge-cries in the game. If they havent, they definetly should have. Warcries brings a LOT of feel to the battle. and they're quite useful too.. I've been involved in LARPS (Live action roleplaying). And I've been involved in a few battles. The best one would be when I was playing an Orc..

We were around 15 orcs walking up the road, at 1 am out in the woods so it was quite dark. Then we ran into 50 or so cocky humans..

Our shaman dropped one of those bright red signal flares behind us, and we stemmed up in a warcry and charged them with full force head on, they all broke and scattered into the forest like pigeons running from an ordinary three year old And the dwarf had to go to hospital, he broke a rib by tripping on a stone in the woods trying to get away from us.

This lot consisted mostly of kids though .. definetly not battlehardened soldiers (but neither we're we.. )

But then again.. Maybe the soldiers in medeival would break and run too if they were faced with orcs. If you think about it though, thats is probably how they imagined saracens up in europe where they've never seen one.


And just think about the warcries in Shogun how they would be. I bet we've all heard REAL samurai warcries in some game or movie.. ... Kinda like UUUIIIIIEEEEEEEE But with a real deep voice.. They're lovely

The first source I can remember is from a not so accurate samurai movie called Shogun Mayeda .. It is some samurai going to spain to buy guns. heheh.. Got a very nice fighting scene in the beginning, Where this samurai spar with the shoguns son or something with a short spear.

Anyway, Warcries ROCK I usually zoom in a realtime maps just to hear the charging horses.
