I was wondering. If there will be a Roman TW, would the missle troops be using bows and arrows or javalines? On the other hand, how are they going to deal with Spartucus' gladiator revolution in the game?

EA must make something original agian. Not Romans. Most strategy games are about them. What about ancient Greece it has the great battles and the cities that were fighting agianst each other. There area also some great units in the game. Also they can make Alexander's the great campain, too. U against all the barbarians.
Barbarians u must kill em ALL.

Kill the barbarians eh? And what exactly defines a barbarian? Don't drink tea maybe, or play cricket or (heaven forbid)eat their sandwiches with the crust still on???

Ohhhh the horror!!! http://cgi.tripod.com/smilecwm/cgi-bin/s/net4/icon16.gif

If R:TW is a new game and revamped engine, I don't see why they wouldn't do both archers AND javelins! (Shorter range, greater damage?) But the real question is: Do we get to play with Greek Fire? ;>

What's all this I hear about roaming archers? I want my archers to stand still where I tell them and not move around. That's just silly, letting them go to tea and sandwiches while there's a battle on.

What's that? Oh. Roman Archers. Well that's different!!

Nevermind!!

Well you know if tea-time rolls around...

Did the Romans use archers that much?

Yes, I believe they did. Romans used archers. By the way, I'm curious - when England was fighting Scotland, did they take a break during battle for tea? Or did those Scottish barbarians not be considerate enough to let them?

I just want to see the sprite animation for Balearic slingers http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif "Hey, watch out for that rock!" LOL

Cutting the bread crust off, while a little "foo foo", isn't as bad as eating that haggis crap! Ye gods that's nasty!

This one belongs in Off-topic guys, not general discussion! I'm going to move it over there.
