in twm our Khan didnt had yet any epic battle and he wonders if it will be like stw/MI, somehow there is another wave in the atmosphere causing teh epic games. u remember the clanbattle against elite swoosh? such a games aint seen yet on mtw.

Easily my best battle was my first multi-player as a Kenchi - olde STW, desert, 7k ea. Myself, KenchiShizuka http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif and KenchiKagetora lined up against three Fears. Cut a long story short, the battle was looking pretty bad until one of my allies called for help. At which point I thought sod it we've lost, I may as well show my new clan mates I'm serious and clouted my whole army into one of the enemy flanks, regardless of the threat posed by my opponent. Blah, blah, blah... Kenchi ruled the day... blah blah...

Should be mentioned though, that the Fear involved (I dunno if he remembers this) made the point of battering my ass in the next 2v2 we had. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Its always nice to beat the fears one of my fav games was in bk valley i had 2 newbie allys and 1 vet (cant remember name) and we were defending, Luckly the newbies did as told and we won the day http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif Another favourate was on bungo during the multi player clan campain, wolves v elite 3v3 but fogolin was a wolf at the time, so fogolin magyarkhan and myself attacked bungo (sheesh thats a big hill) things were going bad as fogolin changed his men to open formation and they routedtaking magyars archers with them http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif :)we were getting pelted with arrows so we decided on a last ditch charge but held our hcav gens back for a secondary charge, so when all troops were engaged from the side of the map to the woods at the bottom of the hill we all charged our h cav gens at once targetting enemy nodachi already engaged (well i did dont know about mags or foggy), as the gens entered combat it wasent long before we had the elite troops routing magyar positioned his gen on the hilltop to watch the chase (eery) was a very nice battle, other battles of note were nagashima with players strike pekoeman and rampage in the early days http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Many memorable STW battles but bringing things up to date, so far (and probably I'll never match it) in MTW I would have to say it was a 4v4. Takiyama - MizuYuuki, MizuKokami, MizuToda and myself were attacking Zaher, Wolf-Injin, Mouldenhauer and KenchiNikiko.

The deployment of Injin and Zaher about 2 inches in front of Toda http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif explained why all these guys were fleeing through my ranks http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif .Between them,Kokami and Toda recomposed, I was advancing on Mouldenhauer's Byzantines and to the right I could see Nikiko and Yuuki had engaged.

After a clash of infantry and much manoeuvring of cav http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Mouldenhauer's force was broken and retreating, to my right Yuuki and Nikiko were slugging it out and Nikiko's right flank was now exposed and inviting attack. My men obliged by attacking his units of infantry and longbows.

When I turned to see what the situation was, there was myself Yuuki and Kokami with a few battered units but Zaher had just too much for us to finish...hehe and Nikiko's 30 longbowmen.

We lost and I managed to kill 1614. Strangely a thunderstorm started and there was a big flash of lightning just as we routed. Can I blame this for scaring my horses?

Anyway it was a terrific battle even though we lost.

I remember that battle. Orda and I were on the right and were both using the Russians. Nikiko routed me with an infantry rush, but I was able to rally a few units when Orda jumped him. That was at the end of a series of 13 consecutive battles, all of them loosing efforts, that I played trying to adapt my playing style to the Russian faction. That was my best effort with the Russians getting around 650 kills which is below my average with the Italians, and is the reason I've stopped using the Russians for now.

I've uploaded my own favorite MTW battle to the org under the title La Pucelle, and have included a short descriptive textfile in the zip.

Have always like fighting 4v4 on Yamato.... one of my fav battles were defending with bachus, polar, calbear vs elmo, mitch, dumpy and gustavas... so much so I put the battle review at
