Poll on habit on use of logfiles / replays

Just curious on the habits of MP gamers, on the use of logfile and reviewing battle replays.

Well, I don't usually bother with the logfiles, but I'm a sucker for replays. I tend to save all interesting battles I can (some hosts _still_ quit too early, damnit&#33http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif and all battles where something happens that I don't understand. (I have perhaps a dozen replays titled "whathappened", "weirdrout", "whydidherout", "wtf" and the like... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif)

They're nice tools for improving one's skill, as ya can both review yer own playing and observe the styles of other players. Some sort of VCR controls would be _really_ nice... time acceleration is good, but it's still a bit time consuming to use replays for learning purposes.

But as Cran says..it would be nice with some vcr controls or something

I love this feature http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif and I save all the epics etc, win or lose. In fact I have a nice replay of myself and Toda being mauled quite badly but the feature of that battle was not so much the game play, which was good, but the fact that Toda detoured slightly to pillage a village http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Cran, if you find hosts are quitting too quick try saving the replays as 1--2--3--4 etc then rename them later http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
