mom threw away cd case with key on it

hey, my mom threw away my cd case, along with the cd key for MTW, is there any way I can play mp without the cd key now? thanks

If you kept the CD key written in the box below where you enter your password you should still be able to get in. But if not, give your mother a lecture on... WHY THE HELL WOULD SHE THROW AWAY A CD CASE? Where are you going to put the CD now?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to get around with that using the registry or something.

You can ask Activision for a new cd-key, but they would probably see the cause of your loss as "not believable". You may try lying around with 'em, just for a good and just cause. In the beggining there was a batch of MTW copies that didn't have a valid MP cd-key - you can try with that...if your conscience doesn't kill you. Yet for a good intent...

I can guess that your right hand has already gone on the Kazaa icon. Don't. Apart from the fact that it is illegal, you also need to know that the same Cd-key has probably been cruising many different users. Everyone on the foyer has to have a different serial - if not, you're booted out. Hence, you would be lucky to stay 5 mins on with a Kazaa cd-key. It's the same with IMesh and co...mind you.

If you know any friends or peeps that have MTW but don't play it online ...you can always ask 'em.

Hi,

Well your in a tight jam. Here are a couple of options for you T. Knight.

1) get your reciept and scan it and send it to CA they will give that serial number a new CD-Key and invalidate the old one.

2) Tell your mom to buy you new game because it's her fault.

3) Just appreciate the new cool things in single player and realize you'll never play MTW online.

4) This is just in case maybe maybe you never purchased the game in the first place http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif . Just buy the game its worth it.

actually, my cd key is in the jewel case also. it's not on the outside, but rather on the inside on a sticker attached to the paper insert underneath the 1st cd.

so, legitimate or not, your only legal option is to contact Activision and work it out with them for a new cd key.

take ur CD and send the original to CA, than they will send u a cd with a new key back.... well at least it shows that u bought the game....and if they dont help u....than im very dissapointed
