View Full Version : The First Total War Wrold Championship
Hello everyone, it is my pleasure to announce the first annual Total War World Championship (TWWC). The Final dates are yet to be discussed, but as for now registrations are open. Please visit the site given at the end of my post to go register.
here are the way by which the tournament will be run:
1. Everyone can register
2. Once registered, you must organise your countries teams. This can be done from a simple vote to a playoff... its up to you how you wish to do this. Teams will be of 3.
3. Once you have a team finally sorted out by the given date (yet to be confirmed) all teams will be drawn to make the pools.
4. In each pool round teams will play each team twice, once in offence and once in defence. Points will be given as thus:
4 pts per win
1 bonus pt if the losers defeats one or more generals.
1 bonus pt if the winner has all three generals remaining.
that means a total of 5 points awarded per game.
5. once the pool round is over, the selected top teams will go into a final pool. this pool will be played like the first.
6. Once the final Pool has played each other twice, the top two teams will play one final battle, the team with the highest points before the battle will chose wheather to defend or attack. The winner of this will be the world champions
-all the battles will be fought on the same map
-all the battles will be 45k florins a team
-one faction per side (eg. one side cant have two english factions)
-army rules are yet to be discussed.

great there is someone who wants to make this idea reality.
I think the votes for the countrie's players should be made here on the org. If there's a World Championship only the best players oof a country should be involved.

help accepted Kyl, just go to the site and ill make you an admin there as well.. afterall this WAS your grand idea. as far as selections go, i think its best left up to the countries. That way they can either vote or fight it out, depending... in all it should be good fun
Haha Know i remember a finnish player Crand, its MK_Rubberduck, and donbatti is a swedish player.
Well, i have lived in spain all my life, and i was born in spain also, but my passport is from sweden (not a joke my father is swedish).
Anyhow, ill try to play with spain if celtis and some spanish ronin accept me as a spanish in law...

How is team USA being organized?
Dont you think its kind of contradictory to have multiple teams for one country? i.e. US, east-west.
This gives a country more of an advantage over any other team to win.
Plz address this ASAP.

I think I won't be wrong if I say that me and my other Celtiberos clan mates would be really happy and proud if we had you as an ally in the forecoming wars. But not without having to fight or vote between us for the honor of being one of the 3 generals who will flag our country team, hehehe

I have a few ideas on this event, mainly suggestions on making it more like the Olympics.
I feel there need to be more theaters of competition.
The Olympics have many different games.
This allows for more than just another "The usual suspects on a flat map" competition.
MTW is too diverse not to include things like snow battles, desert warfare, and hilly competition.
This would allow for more than just 3 people per country to play. A rule allowing for a maximum number of events one can participate in based on how many people from a nation wish to compete while making some exceptions for countries fielding too few players to fill all events, would allow for a deeper, richer championship experience.
More awards can be presented, and much more would be able to taste victory.
Please give me some feedback. I would like to know whether this is a good idea or if the die is cast already.
ok, as far as events go, it will depend firstly on response. As for now im keeping things small and simple. Its my first event that ive hosted. Unles i get more people to help with this, it will probably stay the one event. As for the next one, im already looking at expanding to other events as well. So if anyone wants to help to make this bigger, post below and on the site
Is it really right to consider the US as one country..as it is more like a United Europe...hence why you extradition laws from one 'state' to another and differing laws also...and a Federal Government that is more like a European Parliment
The problem with national type tourney is that it
a-seperates clan members
b-can cause an international incident - the war with Iraq relates to an on line game of C&C that went too far (can you think of another reason?)
on a serious note...it may be easier to organise a Europe/America/Asia-Oz/Rest of the World type tourney...with 10 players from each...working on the same lines as the CWB.
As for Monsta he will have to represent The Republic of Mancunia...we are a bit like Cuba but have more rain.
heh.. ive thought about racist issues and all.. but in the end, if any team trys to make it political, i think they will get a warning then will be disqualified, all differences are to be left off the battlefield. This is MTW not the real worl
