Clan Sunday FAQs

1. Do all of your members have to sign up?

In reporting who fought in a particular battle, you will be selecting names from the TWA members list. So beyond the prerequisite 3 needed to register for Clan Sunday, before you report, you will have to have the all of your generals who participated in that particular battle signed up.

We are talking minutes of your time here folks, minutes

2. How many members can join in?

Each Clan can have only one 3 man team per round, per opponent. That team can be composed of any 3 Clan members. If you had 4 opponents, you could conceivably have 12 individuals playing in the first round alone (there are 3, plus playoffs), if you wished to do it that way.

(It has been brought to my attention that I may be wrong about this. It may be only one 3 man team per round aginst all opponents, and that in three rounds plus a single playoff you could have 12 individual players. If so, sorry about the confusion.)


Clan Sunday 3v3 League registration is only open until Friday the 20th of this month. The more who sign, the more will sign. So please get in as soon as possible, it will encourage others.

Please note: Having your Clan registered with TWA does not automatically sign you up for CS 3v3. You must register for that in addition to your TWA Clan membership.

The Clans, Elite Force, Dread Masters, Ronin Warlords, and Bruderschaft der Templer (BDT) are all in.

The Clans, Kenchi, Seljuk, RTK, Shades, Wolves, Luna Rosa, Rent Boys, Raven Blood, Tenki, FearfulWays, Silver Roaches, and SPQR, have all expressed desire to join.

The first time through this process has turned up a few problems and misunderstandings that have kept some from being able to sign up. These things happen. If that is the case and your Clan is on the above list. I will be contacting you, to assist in any way I can.

If your Clan is not on the lists above, but should be, please add your post to this topic today only, Friday December 20th.

Some Thoughts

The biggest problem facing Clan Sunday competitions is logistics. Trying to get folks together who live all over the globe in different time zones, with different personal schedules, is a very daunting task. No one single approach will work for everybody, so I believe we will have to use all possible avenues to get the job done. I would like to suggest that our Clan Sunday battles should happen any which way we can make them happen.

Some Ideas

1. Time Frame: As the name implies, Clan Sunday battles are intended to be fought on Sundays, in specified time window that is most convenient for the majority of the participants. This will be Clan vs. Clan prime time, the best chance to meet in combat with the most Clans.

2. Chance Encounter: Anytime two Clans meet online by chance, and you both agree it’s a good time, just do it Of course members of Clan Sunday registered Clans could be online for any number of other purposes. Declining to do battle outside of the specified time frame should always be considered an honorable, and a respected option.

3. Special Arrangement: If your Clan is simply unable to make it to the scheduled Sunday melee parties, you will have to get things done by appointment. It will have to be an accepted responsibility of all participant Clans to work together to make sure all who want to be, are included.

Added Notes

I am looking right now at the possibility that we might be able to arrange time frames for both East and West hemispheres. More on this later.

The Questions

1. What would be the best starting time on Sundays for your Clan?

2. How long do you think each rally should last?

Please remember that there will be a lot of battles and Clans to fight, and that it will most likely require many Sundays to complete. You won’t have to be there every week, but a reasonable discipline of attendance will have to be maintained. Player fatigue is another real consideration, and leads to another question.

3. How many battles is it reasonable to assume that most Clans will be able to fight in succession?

Who will be the third Clan to join in the fun?

Registration for February is still open until the 15th.

The competition it’s self has already started, as the two Clans now signed and can fight their battles at any time between now and the end of the month.

Because registration and competition overlap on the first half of the month, right now Clan Wars is an ‘instant on’ contest, sign today, start today

Clan Wars has a message board, but is truly email based, with email notification of all new sign ins, and any important competition information sent directly to your elected Clan Emissary.

It takes less than five minutes to read the board for instructions, and zip off an email to sign up. Conformation will come as soon as possible, then go for it

SPQR has joined the fight with DreadMaster and RTK Clans for our February kick off.

With the battles now half completed, the Dreads are in the lead, but its not in the bag yet
