I had a thought, if there is going to be a commanders view in battle why not make it so that you can use Virtual Reality gear aswell. Wouldn't that be cool, being there on the battlefield

I don't know about that. Nintendo 64 had a VR add on in Japan for awhile but they canned it because the graphics were not good enough for peoples expectations. PC's have come a fare way from the power of the N64 and I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I myself prefer the "Eye of God" view when I command my armies. It makes me feel... powerful. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

What could be cool was, that you could control that commander, and run around http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

How about being able to view the battle from a single soldiers' perspective?
Seeing the enemy ranks drawing closer, and closer, then BAM The moment of contact - blood and limbs flying....

to get an idea implemented it might help if u find numerous buddies and keep complaining and whining till 3 montsh after teh release (that is 1 day after teh first patch).

Nice idea, but isn't VR kit flippin expensive? How would that benefit anyone, especially if it was only for this one game?

All those of us who earn a nice £1,000,000 a year would think the idea a good one, unfortunatly thats not me. So no VR kit in my opinion. The new engine for the graphics will take people's attention away from VR straight away anyway. Something new and dynamic is always good.

Powdermonkey I agree it would be wicked to have a soldiers perspective, see arrowss cutting into people and people fighting to the death.

anyone played homeworld cataclysm?it has a pilots view feature, although you don't control the pilot, you still see through his eyes and still assign commands from his view.was pretty awesome http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif now if rome had the same feature, but instead lets you control them
