Just ran into a site for RTW on strategyplanet:

Rome Total War Colosseum (http://www.strategyplanet.com/totalwar/index.shtml)

And some screens I have not seen before.
Sorry if this is old info http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Wow truly impressive but this will run with current minimum specs of MTW? Seems hard to believe.

Wow, had seen the pics before, but just noticed that rubble from destroyed walls seems to stay in place, not vanish. That is another cool feature, even more realism. Great

I wonder how the city sieges will play, In Medieval they are ok but online dont seem to get played much.

I enjoy the SP aspect of attacking castles and havng the ability to build almost what I want.

Just wish it was closer to December.....

I will have to make so with Vikings next month for now http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Anyone know if RTW will have seige engines.....like a battering ram or a tower? In a seige can the attackers build walls and firtifications around the besieged city?

the cities might be to big. I think that after playing a few sieges most people will not have the patience to do it again. WHat will happen is the same that happen in MTW. people will use autoresolve, or just wait for a few years for the people to die out.

The way to fix this would be: to make autoresolve more accurate. (lets face it if i attack a fortress without any siege units, i should lose more then 200 spear men)

Allow for in battle saves. (this would lead to a lot of people cheating, but lets face a siege battle in the city that size would take a couple hours. so this feature is a must)

Since the city is that big it should be able to maintaine itself for many years.

And finally if an assault fails, but i meneged to get a couple of walls down, they should not be rebuild by next year, without the players inteference.

the graphics look astonishing; i wonder how much will it be required to update our machines just to run this game? It seems that a new Pc is needed to be bought just to play this game. It's a major dump if it happens.
