The timings differ for eacy group which YOU choose.

US gruop- 11am CST
EU gruop- 11am GMT+1
Aussie gruop- 11am Sydney time

WHY CAN'T YOU PARTCIPATE???

The best times for me are actually during the workweek itself in the evening (like 6PM CST). Weekends are unreliable because family matters intervene more frequently and often, and thus, it is harder to commit for a weekend day, let alone 4 of them. I dont want to sign up just to forfeit because the fam wants to go do something...

Otherwise, I would be there for sure.

1 major problem, I have exams. and because I am no genious at all, I will have to learn for them. For all those interested (not that many of you out there) I give here the courses in which I really really suck.

Here's an idea for a future tourney or for this one (if it needs it...)
When people enter, have one of the info items be preference of play time. Now if this is run by a database I assume one should be able to find match mates for the initial rounds. Have the time frame go like so: Each round is given a week to complete it's set of battles. The prefered day of battle is "X", at the end of that day, the round ends. Each pair is given info about their opponent ahead of time, or there is a location where people can go look. This would enable people who can't or don't want to fight on said day/time to at least try to arrange a different day.

You have to realize one thing very important:

There are only about 200 people registered in this forum !!!! and I would not expect much bigger numbers in other forums, possibly most of the patrons here are a big chunk in other forums... you have to realize that people like us checking forums and the like are only maybe a tiny percentage of the online community. That would explain also why Obake got that much " walk in" joiners in the Fears Tourney. Thats why I always recommended a 1 Day tourney thingy in single elimination. Most of your attendance is going to be by advertising at the tourney hour at the game chat room because most of the online players never check the forums !!

I would favor those group tourneys...
But if we can't have enough registered players you are perhaps right Metha. But I would say keep trying this way until the middle of the next week.
I will advertise in the game chat room like Terasawa is doing.

That's a good point Metha. I guess that applies to a great many things. When you think about it even if EA sold the game to everyone on the forum at a price of $50 our entire worth to the company would still only constitute a value of about $12000, ($50 x 240 patrons).

Totalwar.org is just one of many several fan sites + It's a struggle sometimes not to delude ourselves about our importance, or just how small our place in the community really is.

At any rate I really hope that Terazawa Tokugawa's tournament is a success + I have a feeling it will be given it's due space on the .org mainpage in the near future.
