From this (http://www.totalwar.com/community/rp3.htm) pic i noticed one of the soldiers carrying a banner of some sort written on it something in latin probably.my question is will banner bearers effect troop morale?and will killing them demoralise the troops?

The Roman Imperial Legion had two types of "standard bearers" the Aquilifer and the Signifer. The Aquilifer carried the Legions eagle, while the Signifer carried the Centuria´s. The guy at the pic looks like a Signifer to me.

In the Mid-Republican Legion every Manipel had two Signifers in each of its two Centuria´s

Dunno about the Late-Republican/Early Imperial Legions (after the reforms of Marius) standard bearers, but I have suspicion that it had Aquilifer and Signifer as the Imperial Legions

The dacian tribal flag, consisting from a wolf-headed dragon on top of a spear - when the dacians attacked, the wind blowing through the wolf's mouth seemed like the howl of a real wolf, instilling fear in their enemyes ...

My 2 cents ...
