Said it at the com just now but might as well repeat it here: the release of E3 movies is evidently in flux because we were nominated for some award or other, but they should be out on the web next week sometime.

MOVIES... he said MOVIES. MOVIES as in the plural of MOVIE, meaning there will be more than one. Maybe those MOVIES will be the lengthy, high resolution sort that makes us want to play them over and over and over again.

E3 is basically an event for game makers to show off their upcoming products to retailers.

It is pretty much the "promised land" for poor kapowee-eye-candy addicted souls.

RTW had some sort of demo there.

Apparently it was only the battle engine that was being demoed. I guess they haven't begun finishing work on the strategic mode yet.

Actually, we did show the campaign map http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Only to a select few journo's in a private meeting room, mind you, but just to show people that it does exist. We're not quite ready yet to take the wraps off...

Other than that, we did a live demo for the E3 judges, and had a movie running as part of Activision's display, and it's that movie which is going to be released shortly, I believe, although the PR pixies have been scurrying about taking new footage of the game as well.

RTW got the IGN.com "Best Strategy Game" award in the PC category and was runner up for the "Best Game of Show" after Half Life 2. Link: IGN's Best of E3 (http://pc.ign.com/articles/409/409965p1.html)

At the end of the article, RTW was a runner up for the "Biggest Surprise" of the show.

No, the movie there talking about is actualy a demo played by someone from CA.
It's not an playeble demo (for us then)it shows an attack on a Egyptian city by a roman army.
