They only sell the magazine in Europe, right?

Well anyway, some guy on another board said he watched it and it showed the tactical map, as well as a city assault. If you can get your hands on a Gamestar, it would be to your advantage.

I never seen anything called Gamestar, pretty sure I live in Europe Just my luck...

But if they can put it on some magazine disk, why can't they put it up at the official website???? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif Or better yet... at The Org? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It shows a few sec of elephants charging (god those beasts turn quickly for there size) and you can see the battle interface (look alot like the one in MTW and STW)

its not much but its better than notting http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

AAAAHHHH

I need more. Oh what a sneak peak.

Those elephants look so cool, and the interface looks so cool, and my brain is overloading, and my feet are beginning to float away like little carthaginian tooth fairies.

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif I need my MTV, oops meant RTW-teasing Gamestar CD.

Okay now that I have calmed down, taken my medication, and gone frame by frame thru the cd teaser. I have some observations.

The strategic interface appears to be on the bottom and now has a strategic map inset. The army breakdown is still in the middle. Not sure what is on the right hand side though.

The action appears to be from a battle sequence. Wow those are some incredible graphics. Even having the elephants going thru a wheat field.

At the end of the sequence you can see the elephants charging some blue legionaires that show as the screen is shrinking.

If CA doesn't hurry I will be in a mental institution by the time its released... again. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif

*sometime about 10 minutes later*

ok i have calmed down...but you have to admit, thats not a whole lot there from Rome

Is there anyone who knows this Gamestar? Maybe even someone who actually gets it (the CD I mean... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ).

I wish I had that CD now, could probably make a fortune by selling it here on the forum... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

Okay, I am way to excited over this. Three posts in one topic. I guess this confirms that I am a RTW fanatic and a certified dork. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Well now for some more observations about the army in the lower middle of the screen.

It appears to be Roman and consist of the following from left to right:

Top Row-
One Cavalry Unit. Possibly the general?
One Ballista.
Three Archer Units. Archers or Javilinmen?
Three Spear Units. Legionnaires or Light Legionnaires?
Two Catapults. One has ammo but the other is out of ammo?

Bottom Row-
One Spear Unit. Legionnaire or Light Legionnaire?
One Heavy Spear Unit. Legionnaire or Praetorian Guard?
Two Spear Units. Legionnaires or Light Legionnaires?
One Light Unit. Skirmishers, Scouts, or Slingers?
One Catapult.
Two Spear Units. Legionnaire or Light Legionnaires?

Not sure what the icon on the lower right means. Possibly a battle mode or Watching-AI-Controlled battle mode?

The red square icon over some of the units may mean they are in combat.

More as I continue to research each frame. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

it is unfair i tell you...showing only 7 seconds (if that) of R:TW. although it does give us a look of elephants walking around, and it provides a good look at the interface. so i guess its worth it...

If anybody has missed it, check this thread (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=19;t=7883) here in the Colosseum, it has the movie (at least I think it's the movie from Gamestar as it has German commentary)

Gamestar was first to report of Rome, they were among the first to make a review of VI and now they bring us a video. I would say that makes them the magazine with the highest interest in the Total War series in the world, doesn`t it?

I think it's a different movie. I've watched both and there are different images, different voices talking and in the teaser there is no flickering.

Perhaps they are fans as well, or perhaps our German patrons are among the more rabid Total War fans and simply demand more coverage. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

What I mean is that the movie we've seen is not Gamestar's movie. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif If you compare both elephant's scenes you can realize that the points of view are different.

If someone in the forum has watched both movies he would be able to tell us.
