Magyar Khan's Verdict

Hello ALL,

Following a period of time to reflect on recent events which occured within the MP community, my Khan has released his verdict addressing the issues, the "players" involved and the subsequent sequence of events which led to several members being banned from these boards.

Please note that these Boards are a "No Fire Zone" by a ruling from the Admin staff and rightly so, I hasten to add.

Granted I have not read every post. But I don`t see the need for banning anyone. Seems like some had a greivance and aired it.....perhaps not in the best way possible. But in any community such as this there will be disagreements and fights. The ability to air them and for both sides to become constructive is what makes it flourish. As it is now we are minus some very strong community members and at a loss to disagree with the powers that be.

So Magyar Khan has found Tosa Inu guilty of misuse of power. No surprise here. Magyar finds as much fault with Tosa as Tosa finds with Magyar. The difference lies in the ability of one to ban the other. Kocmoc plainly and simply called Tosa an idiot. It was in his signature for a while so that he repeated the insult every time he posted. Again, not a surprise, but Kocmoc was declared innocent by Magyar Khan. I think the verdict there shows that the other side is capable of being just as biased as they accuse TosaInu of being.

I will say though that Wolf Monsta's ban still makes me uneasy. What sedition did he spread that warrented getting the boot? I've said before that I know not what is true in this case and what is not but Wolf Monsta's situation is such that I don't even know what it is I do not know. Tosa made a good argument for Magyar and Kocmoc clearly deserved it. But Wolf Monsta? I trust Tosa had good reason but I can't fathom what it was.

It is this kind of silly, hokey childishness that discredits the MP experience. How many adults want to be associated with "clans" of people who behave like little boys meeting in their tree house after school? Rollplay if you must but it hurts the hobby. Most men are put off by it big time. Too embarrassing to be associated with.

i must admit thought demanding the org staff say they were wrong and unbanning the banned is a realy inteligent way to get back in.

"- all involved who are banned yet should be unbanned.
- the .org staff must state publicly that the banning was a bridge to far, powers were misused to improve mainly the staffs own pleasure.
- the banning-procedure should be improved and structured in a fair and public way.
- Tosas power has to be limited to what he does best, keeping the .org in the air."

I agree as well. The whole concept of the convict passong judgement strikes me as absurd. Aren't trials usually conducted with impartial judges?

It seems clear to me that all these guys have been way too involved in this game for far too long. I too remember the great days of STW when clans and the community were first forming, and clan and community websites appeared something from which we all benefited and appreciated. Unfortunately this meladrama has gone from the rediculous to the absurd, and would be more appropriate on 'the Bold and the Beutiful than a games forum. I think the only way this will ever end is if all the participant "get a life" and some badly needed maturity and rationality. Or some of the vets who do nothing but criticise a game they have spent the last 3 years playing should step back from the community before there petty politicing and back biting splits the community and scares off new players, a injection of fresh untainted blood is badly needed in the upper levels of the community IMHO. And perhaps some graceful retirements are in order.

What saddens me is some peoples real feelings have probably been hurt and some friendships destroyed by individuals that must be 'in charge' or 'in power' above all else to validate their pathetic and empty lives.
