I have sent the first set of files to Louis de la Ferte Ste Colombe . So the game has began.

PLEASE NOTE
I had a few problems with faction definiations so fo rexample the Swiss start in switzerland and had swiss units etc, but they are not called the swiss.

Sorry I couldnt work out how to match the factions etc.....

BTW, as I guess, you'll press the End Turn button, which events are you going to see? All of them? Only the one for the faction you rule (Rebels?)? Is it possible to save screenie for some of those which might be of interest for the story part of it?

I will try and print any important events, and post them as pictures.

The reason why I will press the end turn button, it the rebels are the first faction, so by me pressing end of turn, I should stop the AI from issuing to many commands to the other factions, It has a habit of issuing orders to factions if you havent set any commands for that faction.

This way it cant do that as rebels are the first faction, so no factions will have had orders given to it before me and your units.

So if by chance (???), I go to a province and face an army with twice my numbers and a better gen, do as you see fit, and I'll live with it

Regarding other events;

At this point, I would welcome any alliance, but from the French. And let's be a nice and decent king once in a while

BTW Louis u r the only faction to only have 1 province and no rebel land around you to invade into.

however, I still think the Swiss are a VERY powerful faction, I might attempt to start a little rebellion in HRE to make it a little more interesting.

I don't remember my income level now, but I think it's plus 200 florins so far. I have a weak army so I wonder what the rebels will do next. I could be squashed at the end of first turn. Sinan asked for a wedding between our families... Which is fine, I just wonder how we can make that happen, since we don't control our faction during the 'press turn' action.

So even if I agree, my AI king might have another point of view, and voila It won't work.

I've received the file and sent it to ShadesWolf.

Unfortunately, I can see that there's something wrong with the workings of the campaign.

At the start of the first year (1321) I had a net income of 75 florins and a treasury of 8,000 florins. I choose to build watch towers in Denmark and Livonia (2 x 100 florins) and train a unit of vikings in Denmark (262 florins). I believe I moved my princess from Denmark to Saxony and I did not move my longboat in Skagerak. I don't train any units in Livonia. This should give me 8,000-200-262+75=7,613 florins in the treasury the next turn.

The next year (1322) arrives. My princess has gone to Venice, my longboat has moved to the North Sea and there's a unit of pavise crossbowmen under training in Livonia. On the positive side watch towers get built and the training of the vikings begin. My treasury turns out to be 2,205 florins, meaning that 4,958 florins have disappeared with nothing to show for it. My net income has however risen to 249 florins per turn.

Have you suffered the same fate?

To be quite honest this is what I expected to happen.

If u think about it generally. There are x factions. Faction one is the Rebels, and this is the faction I use to press end turn. It wil then look at each faction in turn, if u have moved a unit or set up a queue then it will ignore that part, but if u havent, then it will do it for u

What I will attempt to do is use the last faction in the list as the end turn faction and see what happens. That might cure the problem, as the AI might think that no moves are required......

I can see how the AI would like to take over control of the units and build queues that have no orders. It is however somewhat more puzzling why the almost 5,000 florins disappeared. Would the AI use it on other factions or what? I find that part harder to understand. I can see that SeljukSinans income fell, but did you guys also lose from the treasury?

Right guys I still havent found anyway around this problem of the AI allocating orders, we either have to put up with it as a somewhat independant govenor who allocates his own orders when let alone. Or we cancel the campiagn and start something else, that might be a little more fair ?

So what do you think......

In the way of something else I was thinking of either using BKB mod to play out an Iberian reconquestor game, on a stand alone campaign map, with limited building diplonancy or creating somethink like my 100 years war campaign

If we continue the current campaign, we'd largely be explaining the AI's decisions and not so much actually leading the states. The AI will most likely start wars for us if we don't move our armies. I always saw the campaign as a most worthy experiment rather than a serious campaign. If there are others that want to continue then I'm game. I'm also willing to go for anything experimental that you guys think is worthwhile, like for instance that Iberian mod.
