Death of the world's oldest man... (http://www.timesdaily.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20030928/API/309280912)
Very sad. Can you imagine wht he saw in his life time All the new and incredible inventions, the wars, the good times and bad. Amazing... but sad. You know he must have outlived so many friends and relatives, more than any of us could ever know. I'm sure his family is sad but they should rejoice that he lived so long and seemed to be a kind man. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Sad, but hopefully he had lived a happy life and died with peace of mind.

You're right dave. He could have conceivably attended funerals for his grandchildren dying of old age. This kind of thing would be the drawback for immortality.

yeah, he had exerience alot of things. the invention of light(could be wrong), modernation for japan, guns, wwI, WWII, korea war, vietnam war, gulf war, gulf war 2. inventions of TV, radio, telephone, computers, internet, DVDs, CDs, necluear weapons. wow, makes me wonder, what would the world be like 1 century from now. think of all the inventions, and new ideas. what the world would be 1,000 years from now. compare the live of the roman ppl with life we have now, and think what life would be like for our future great great greta ect ect grand sons http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif

It seems sad that he died, but the alternative of living on as a zombie is much, much worse. Im sure he wouldnt have wanted to come back as a zombie, only to have to seek out brains and eventually get his head chopped off.
