hi,
I'm new here and i recently started posting at the .com site, however i was told this forum was the better place to be.
I have an idea for a mod, i mean i can create units using the stuff from the game and make the non-playable factions playable, however when it comes to making brand new units, beyond the stats...you got me...but here is the idea.
The working title would be 'Fantasy Heroes' it basically adds units that are of 1 person only but that 1 person is fairly special...and they cost a small fortune to build. Each hero would have their own strengths and weakness.
Barbarian: Close combat monster but completely unarmoured.
Knight: A good all-round, armoured, reasonable in combat, fast.
Archer: Longer range than normal archers, arrows more effective.
Duelist: short range handgunner...but fires allot faster and allot more accurate.
Thats it so far...the one idea hinges on the fact if you could edit the look of projectiles and create your own (a Wizards fireball for example).
These Heroes could be bought or a faction could start out with your typical 'adventuring party' of a group of all of the heroes.
Now this group couldn't stand up to a whole army by their ickle selves...but they could do some serious damage on the field.
So your thoughts on this anyone?
