I cannot post in other topics... I 've got this problem: I install the NApoleonic TW mod, I can see new menus,new logos and portraits..But I can go till the campaign menu..Once there If I try to load a new campaign map it crashes...What's wrong now??? Help me..I'm getting mad.. What do you suggest?

It is a standard rule that all newcommers are restricted to the Entrence hall at first... Just to undergo a little observation to see how you interact with the Community, many of whom still come back to the old EH for discussions.

Greetings Giusefus, What version of MTW do you have, English or Italian? we have had other reports of conflicts on Italian Versions of MTW, Also what version of NTW did you download? and was it the full 44 meg version? once I know some more facts I might be able to help you with your problem...LOS

I've the italian version...Anyway, I downloaded the 44 mb file...What kinda problems have the other italians got?Did they solve them?was it the same of the problem I ran?Help pls,thanks a lot

Some of the other language versions cause conflicts stemming from the English Loc files, I am seeing some others formulating a workaround to this by re-installing the 1.1 game patch and when prompted at the beginning of the install choosing English as the language and this will overwrite the Loc files in English , and hopefully alleviate the problem. I will check into this further... LOS

It does not take long before you can post, I have only just been promoted after about 10 days of reading and a few posts.
It is the first time I have seen it done, but it is no big deal. It is worth it as the forum is well run.

I have had a similar problem; only thing was, the game worked per se, but I didn't get the Napoleonic TW thing on my screen (I have the German version and installed the 44MB). It just wasn't there (and no, it really wasn't there, I did have a close look at the comapign screen and I couldnt stroll either...lol). I have not found a solution as of yet and I have not tried to install 1.1 as I am having my pc redone anyway. I hope you will find a solution. I have read similar posts to yours and it does seem that the Italian version created problems...
Hope you will enjoy these forums as they are of a superior nature to others...

Quid did you directly install it in the MTW directory?
If so, check in it and take a look and you might see another Medieval - Total War subdirectory. That might be your problem of not getting NTW to work, because it hasn't overwritten the MTW files. Copy/Cut the files within that subdir and paste it in your MTW directory and that should make it work. Had to figure out why NTW didn't work with me aswell and that seemed to be the problem.
PS. When the Copy/Cut and Paste job has been done you can delete the empty subdirectory wherein NTW files resided.

Didn't find a subdirectory with Medievil. It goes straight C:\...Total War\Medievil-Total War. There is no other file named Medieval in the actual directory. I have copied the NTW in the above named directory. Nothing happened. Maybe I am just blind or plain stupid...or both. Age does tear on my bones...
