Of course, TCPA could mean an enormous boost to Linux, if it`s the only way to evade TCPA. If America makes laws to prohibit TCPA-free PCs this would mean a high risk for world economy. American software developers that want to sell to the rest of the world would have to produce outside America. Non-American companies could not sell in America without paying licences. At the same time, I can`t imagine non-mandatory TCPA could be successfull at all.
In any case, a worrying development.
