The mod I am making

I am making a very simple mod. You Play the english witch start out to be pagan and their lands pagan. I am trying and wondering if I switch them to catholic on Late ot hight, If they would become catholic and not pagan anymore. Witch not would bring civil wars and rebel break outs for relgion. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif. Obvisly making the game harder and annying. How would you switch them from Pagan to Catholic?
