Perhaps you should try that with another faction to make it challenging since with the English (or Frenchs, Italians and Germans)even though you kings and heirs are crack-brained coward, you will get plenty of historical general anyway.

On the other hand with the Danes, Polish, Sicilian and Aragone you will get almost no heroes and your princes will be much more important.

i tried that playing as the danes once to try and get round the 56 bug - instead of a dynasty full of big-eared boys i actually ended up with some of the best heirs i ever had, even though my king was only a three command one when they came of age..

I remember playing a Sicilian daughterwedding game. Once retreated to sunny and exotic Malta, I sold off everything I had and began to breed with my precious daughters. Even after of few hundred years of hot father-on-daughter action, no one would dare come to our island and smite our sinful ways. We were allies of the Pope, even. It could be something to do with the young boys we send them. Eventually we would have made a good tourist island, what with our nonexisting sexual restrictions and pleasant hostesses.
