Screen Resolution

I have recently bought a laptop with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800. The games does not have these settings and if I set my laptop to settings comparable to the game ones the screen is stretched out of shape http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Try 800x600

Thats the res I use on my Laptop.

standard screen resolutions are all on a ratio of 4 to 3. the one you're using is non-standard. switch to one that uses the standard ratio, like 800 x600, 1024 x 768, or 1152 x 864. also, your in-game resolution cannot be higher than your desktop resolution (usually). most games default to 800 x 600. your laptop shld be capable of several resolutions. just switch it in the desktop.

You may have to use the horizontal and vertical functions to manually adjust your screen to a satisfactory size from say 800x600. 1280x800 is not a setting I have seen before. Good luck
