how to install the patch

what is the exact steps to install the patch as I have installed it and it didnt work right so I reinstalled MTW and want to make sure I do it right this time

First you click on the icon with the VI 2.01 patch. Then you choose your language and after that you should choose your Total War root directory. Then press next and the normal installation screen should appear. Wait until it's done and press finish.

Which patch is that:

If you only have MTW you need the MTW 1.1 patch.

If you have MTW *and* VI you need the VI 2.01 patch (which also includes MTW 1.1)
