I made a campaign mod that starts in the year 709 - (not the campmap.
Byzantium is split into two factions - loyalists and rebels
I am playing as the Byzantine loyalists based in Constantinople and loyal remaining outposts in the West.
I'm hanging onto Constantinople precariously but maintaining my stance by diplomatic moves and a few military victories.
I'm allied with the Bulgars to protect my rear and allied with the Ummayads to give the Byzantine rebels in Asia Minor something to think about.
It is now the year 723:
Byzantine rebels lose Anatolia to the Arabs
The Arabs also annihilate the pagan Berbers
Here's where you come in:
Do I:
a) attack the Byzantine rebels in the rear
b) attack the allied Bulgars to secure a Balkan empire
c) conquer Italy and start a revived Western Roman Empire with Constantinople as an outpost
d) attack the Ummayads in alliance with the Byzantine rebels
e) Stay where I am and wait
Its kind of like a pick and choose your course campaign -Once this scenario has been dealt with, I'll continue and paste the next scenario and continue so forth as I play this mod.
pick one of the above and make a case for it.
Kats.
