Hi everybody.

Given the time of year I thought it would be nice to see what christmas screenshots everyone can come up with...

Nice winter battlefield shots that look great are all thats required...

Other than that I will allow everyone to do what they will, be creative and we'll see whats the best

STW, MTW... either is good. So get your men out there, freezing their nads off in winter and we'll see how good you are

Here's one to start off...

The English Army lines up for battle with the French sitting on a distant hill, a small hamlet seperating the two armies...

Damn, I wish that I had made screenies of that battle in a snowstorm in which my heroic warrior monks bravely attacking a threatning mass of Shimazu warriors (three and a half unit of yari ashigaru, actually) who had chosen to defend a cliff facing AWAY from the attackers.

My daimyo has placed the head of their general in his throneroom, so he can have a good laugh when he's feeling depressed.

Unfortunately my hard took a dive some time ago and I've lost all of the good screenies I've had... I guess I'll have to work extra hours to vage some quality war in quality winter surroundings http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/santa.gif

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/santa.gifA Very Merry Viking Christmas Festive Fun For Everyonehttp://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/santa.gif

What happened when the Picts invited the newly converted Vikings over for their first Christmas? Read on.

http://www.totalwar.org/patrons/story/frogbeasteggVikingChristmas1.jpg
The Vikings were so eager to get involved in their first Christmas that there were several fatalities in the crush to get into church 239 Pictish hosts died, along with 79 visiting Vikings. The Mead Hall was accidently burned down due to over enthusiastic lighting of alcohol soaked Christams puddings.

After the church service the Vikings all stood around a stone cross and sang carols while the Picts frantically tried to put out the bruning buildings. The Vikings took exception to this and killed another 178 Picts before making it clear that they liked the fires as it kept them warm. King Ragnar I has a wonderful bass voice and the local Pictish archers donated some arrows to the Viking carrolers. The Vikings misunderstood this as an attack so they slaughtered the archers.

The Vikings went home with 2850 florins of pillaged goods and a large turkey. Christmas, they declared, is a good thing. When else can we be invited around to someone's stronghold to burn, pillage and kill. Plus this way we get free food and drink The Picts said only one thing - Bah Humbug Next year they can go visit the Mercians

Yes I know there is no snow but there is frost and rain, therefore it matches the seasonal weather where I am.

Due too a broken-down uploading and a short holiday in the capital of the United Kingdom, these pictures are a bit late, but I still want to add them.

The battle itself was, like battles everywhere, a mess.
So I will only show you the beginning and the end.

You are far away from home...
You have been facing this alone...
For much too long
