Hi Guys.

We all know that the Total War Battlefield is a chaotic place, anything can happen out there, no matter how well laid our plans are...

A Magnificent Victory against a superior foe, The sacking of a mighty fortress, A costly victory, An unexpected defeat, or the valiant last stand of a besieged Citadel

No matter what situation you have found yourself in, post your battle replays here (with a short description).

Whatever it is, A Campaign Battle, A Custom Battle, A Historical Battle, or Massive Multiplayer Mayhem... Post it

(If A Mod could sticky this, that would be great)
Give us your battle accounts http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

The Bold Stand at Stirling Bridge: A Historical Battle

The wind blew lightly, as William Wallace on his horse shifted nervously in the saddle. He knew the forcoming doom, and he knew many a good man would die this day against the English. The scavenges...he looked to his highlanders in front of him, and they formed a line and marched to the front of the bridge. General John de Warenne of the English led the English and they stopped a few metres from the bridge.

Warenne suddenly shouted out the order.
FIRE he screamed, and hundreds of arrows at once flew through the air at the Scottish. The spearmen at the front put up their shields, blocking the arrows. As the bows fell silent, the Scottish let out a horrible war screech. The English then began advancing across the bridge, and the Scots charged to meet them.

The battle which ensued covered the bridge in bodies, as men fell everywhere around. Wallace suddenly came in, holding the Scottish Flag, and led the remainder of his army in a desperate charge. Many men died in the final charge at Stirling Bridge, and the English army turned tail and ran. It would be a great victory. One that Scotland would remember for centuries to come... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

The Assault of Toulouse: A Campaign Battle

In the Reign of King William II of England a war raged across France, The English King was looking to expand his domain and looked with envy upon the wealth of the territories belonging to the French Lords...

The war was for the most part going well, however fate took a turn for the worst when the remnants of Sir Tancred of Normandy's once great army was besieged inside a Fort in Toulouse by a larger French Force...

His forces comprised of Forty of his personal Militia, A few Peasant Volunteers and 12 Hobilar Riders.

The French had a handful of archers, Militia of their own, a few Spearmen, a group of Peasant levies, and Two siege engineers manning a Ballista... While their force was still relatively small, it was still much larger than Tancred's survivors, and they pressed on to assault the Fort.

Faced with fighting for his own survival, his couragous men fought back at the enemy and succeeded in not only repelling the assault and routing the enemy army, but also hunted them all down to the last man and lifting the siege

This battle demonstrates the way fortune changes during war

The Battle of Kalka River 1203? Mongols Reccie force (20,000)vs Russian Princes + Army (70,000)
Jebe clambered onto his horse, the battle was already ni full swing. Earlier the Mongols had lit piles of napatha and horse dung to create a smokescreen. Sending his best horse archers across Jebe had started to draw the Russian Princes across the bridges and into the thick billowing smoke. Suddenly dark figures started to appear through the smokescreen, it was the archers he had sent, riding back and harassing the enemy at the same time. All around him Jebe could hear bows being drawn and swords readied for a brutal fight. Suddenly the distinct shapes of the russian Knights could be seen, galloping across the bridge in front of their army.
Almost in unison the mongols fired, their arrows cutting throguh the air and burying themselves into a target. In panick the prices tried to recross the river but their path was blocked by the cossing spearmen.
Jebe saw this as the perfect moment to charge, and charge he did leading the mongol hvy cavalry headlong into the confused russian army, killing most of the knights who were stranded inbetween. Seeing their kinghts dead the rest of the russian army routed and were cut down as they tried to leave the battlefield behind.

(This is as far as i know what actually happened that day and the figures given are around the actual figures)
