Konnichiwa,
A spell checker has been installed to all skins. There's a new button below each compile message window, SpelChek TM. Type your message and push that button once, give it a while to load the new window, the checker will present a drop down box with alternatives for each word that's supposedly wrong. Finalize checking and push the Insert in Document button. Then submit your post like normal.
Longer posts take longer to load, but even a couple of letters should load within 15 seconds.
The topic title will not be checked, but you probably already figured that out.
Many thanks to MrWhipple for pointing me to this website.
Please post problems with it here.

Hello *Ringo*,
The script on this site is working for one computer but not the other? Or is the script on this site not working at all for you?
I've only found this requirement: Users running a browser that handles JavaScript. IE5/6 or NS6 recommended.

Thats right. My home computer won't insert into document but will check the spelling. This computer i use at work is fine. It works perfectly. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif

Well i'm all up to date, with IE6 and windows. I have Norton internet security running tho... could this be the problem?
Thanks for the reply Tosa although not essential it would be nice to get sorted out Is there an address to the manufacturer's website? Maybe they could help (or have some FAQ's etc.) Just think it would help other people who may be suffering from the same thing http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

Hello *Ringo*,
I didn't understood wrong then, sorry for being dutch.
Norton could be a problem I guess: data is sent from your document here to the spelcheker there. You could try turning that off to check.
Are you using Windows XP at home and non XP at work? I had Java problems on my XP machine too. I recall that XP didn't include the (full) Java package. In which case you may have to visit http://www.sun.com/ for
Manufacturer's website http://www.spelchek.com
Excellent feature Tosa, really :)

Just thought i'd let anyone know who has problems with the Spelchek, that the problem could be Norton Internet Security. It seems that turning off the firewall enabled me to use the spelchek properly. Thanks 4 your help Tosa http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif
I am still waiting on a response from the Spelchek manufacturer's on a more permanent solution but until then... i'll make do http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

Glad that you have it working. My guess is that you'ld have to add http://spelchek.com to trusted sites.
