I was not a fan of Origin's later work but their earlier games (Ultimas I-VII, Wasteland, and Wing Commander I & II) have a special place in this gamer's heart...

A salute for a company that once lived up to its ambitious slogan - We create worlds.

The good man behind Origin (Lord ... something ingame) had his imagination become just as bloated and useless as Henry V's successors. :\

Like Microprose, Origin was one of the best back when.

'Lord British' a.k.a Richard Garriot.

Yes Origin's problems in later years were firmly linked to Richard's ever expanding ego and his obsession with producing games that were so technologically ahead of their time that even state of the art gaming systems of the day were unable to run them at acceptable framerates (i.e. Strike Commander & Ultima IX).
