K, I am going to buy a new game today. Only thing is, I don't know what I should get. Has anything recently come out worth buying...like a 'MUST HAVE' ?

If so, please do inform me so that I can go out and get it for half price http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Ps: It doesn't really matter what genre; I can find enjoyment in almost anything apart from sports games...(have enough of them).

Battlefield:Vietnam,Far Cry,Painkiller or Unreal Tournament 2004.

All FPS but if your looking for a single player experience i prefer painkiller over farcry,as for multiplayer....both BF:V and UT2k4 are good.

I've been eyeing at the game "Spartan" for a couple of weeks. I've played Legion and enjoyed it. I have the demo for Spartan and was pleasantly surprised. It seems to have a lot of depth to it. I like the combat engine, its like how it would really be if you were a general in 400 BC. Not your usual click fest. Here is the website...

Another vote for Far Cry here, fantastic game which runs just fine on my Geforce 4 Ti4600.

Or Eve-Online if you have the time :)

Or Painkiller if you don't

My sincerest apologies for such a gross misconduct and infringement into the rules of the Org. I shall immediately cut off my fingers with which I have started this thread http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

As for the rest. Thank you very much for the advice. I have gone out and bought Far Cry for only CHF. 34.50.-, which roughly corresponds to £ 14 or $26.5 http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Not a bad deal at all, I would say.

Hehe, don't cut your fingers off, you need two hands to play that new PC game http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif Definitely, The Arena would be a more appropriate place, not because these are the rules, but because it would receive perhaps more attention from other members that are more into PC games.

As for the game, it depends what do you want; Far Cry is a good choice for SP, BF:V a far better one for MP, and the community is shuffling mods for the latter with remarkable speed. Still, perhaps it is worth to wait few days until Soldner comes out (check The Arena for more info), you can try out the demo right away, I hear great comments and can't wait for some time to install and try the game out myself.

you should try to pick up a copy of Arcanum, it is under $20 Australian, so it should be reasonably cheap over there, i got over 60 hours of gameplay out of it.
thanks, dessa

Manhunt, which has recently come out for PC, is a really good action game, if you are not disturbed by violance.
