Its only right that we start the new forum off with a poll, don't you think? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Me, I cycle to work - 4 miles there, 4 miles back.

Bus then metro train. The metro train isn't really a subway because sometimes it runs above ground and sometimes it doesn't.

I enjoy commuting because I live at one end of the line and work near the other end I can always get a seat. I reread the entire Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian, Beowolf, various other books and now I'm working on Pride and Prejudice.

Quote[/b] (Dhepee @ May 10 2004,19:09)]I reread the entire Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian,
Loving those books I just finished Post Captain, the second book, and will get HMS Surprise as soon as I have finished my latest Sharpe book.

Bus to school. I live 3 miles away, but the bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Then I walk home from the bus stop with some friends. When the sun's shining, and it's hot enough to take off your blazer and roll up your sleeves (which I always do in summer term - reminds me it's summer), and you've finished your exams, ah, happy days... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

10 min ride on the metro train - always a good opportunity to read some articles in a newsmagazine - I used to have a longer train ride when we lived further outside of Frankfurt (the good thing about that was that I had more time for reading books)

Car. Instead of 30 miles like Malcolm.B.H, its 30.5Km here.Which means a shorter distance http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

My car got stolen at Christmas of all times .So I bought myself a Bike ,and I'm a born again cyclist.
Still got to get around to buying a new car ,but as for getting to and from work ,i've decided to stick with the bike .At least while the weathers good.

By bike 12 km to school and 7 km to work.
I just hate the bus. I can ride my bike faster than the bus.

Am driven to school Monday-Wednesday and Friday and cycle home. Drive back and forth on Thursdays. (I begin at the third periods on thursdays, so I have time to drop my mother of at her job and borrow the car.)

50 minutes in the traffic jam every morning.
After work, I'm back home in less than 30 minutes. I guess everyone works longer than I do http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

Either car or tram, depending on whether I have to go somewhere later or not.

4X4 pickup, V-shaped plow on the front, retracting spikes in the hubs, loaded gun rack, rebel flag decals, oil sprayer in the back of the bed, small, embedded cooler in the middle of the bench seat, and a small, but efficient radar guided rocket system. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/flat.gif

OK, OK. You guys know I'm just kidding about the rocket system. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

I put Train as that is the majority of my journey (about 1/2) but some is on the Tube and the rest is walking. It can take from 1 hour (really lucky) to 2+ hours (really unlucky).

I vote Green, can you tell http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-jester.gif
