This is a suggestion to open a sticky called The Arena Video Thread or something along those lines.

A vast and highly dedicated, talented community exits producing videos from many games which are sometimes even better than official trailers. I think this would be a good addition to the Screenshot thread where people could post links to game videos for everyone to enjoy. Granted that it will be more of a view than a post thread, however I believe that it will add some more multimedia to The Arena and give gamers great videos from which they can conclude if a purchasing decision is worthy. In any case it will still make it fun for everyone to simply watch something different. A sticky will ensure that this thread is always on top and easily accessed. It should be seperate from the screenshot thread so that you do not have to wade through screenshots to find links to movies. This thread should be limited to game related, freeware/public domain videos only, naturally.

With the introduction of RTW's more video friendly graphics this thread may also inspire more artistic endeavor from the patrons of the org. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

You could also just convert this thread into a sticky and we can start sharing

The idea is a bit like the screenshot threads. If you see a good video or make one then just pop us a link in this thread so we call all enjoy it

Let me post one here. It's from Lock On: Modern Air Combat (surprise ) This is an excellent trailer/video with fantastic footage, subtle soundtrack. It's really well made and IMO deserves an Oscar or equivalent. It's made by a user. Check it out Even if you are not totally into air combat, the video itself is superb and worth viewing just for it's artistic value It's about 5 minutes long and absolutely magnificent.

What will strike you instantly is the sound and graphics.
You can hardly tell this is a vid from a game, it looks so real.

You could see how GREAT the graphics are in the screenshot thread, in this video you can check out the sound as well. This video uses a community made sound mod which is FAR more realistic than the original sound and even the devs are using this sound mod, made by zzzspace (http://www.vaaf.com) Down Under in Sydney.

Well it's ok since no one is interested. Anyhow I have a few hundred links on good vids. Been very busy past 2 months or would have made a nice post. I will do so once I have the time to ....until then I wish you the very best, dear Froggy.
