I already posted two of them here (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=35;t=18622). The third:

If you speak German with a French accent, you get English;
If you speak English with a French accent, you get Dutch;
If you speak Dutch with a French accent, you get Flemmish;
If you speak Flemmish with a French accent, you get French

If you speak Spanish without opening your mouth, you speak Portuguese.

If you speak Dutch as Dutch should truly be spoken, you speak Flemish.

If you speak Dutch and think your Dutch is the only correct Dutch on this globe, then you ARE Dutch.

heyheyhey Our dutch may sound like a disease of the throat but at least it is the true language like our ancestors wanted it to be Who would be intimidated by that girly way you lesser dutchies pronounce the 'g' hmmm? It needs to be RAW Compare 'GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGODVERDOMME' with 'he gedverpielekes das nie plezant he' when expressing ones dismay.

I just had to react to the multiple Flemish jokes in the threads above. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Hmm, never heard anyone say gedverpielekes ever. I'd say 'nondedju' is more common in Flanders. Or 'miljaar'. Gedverpielekes sounds sympathic though.

Actually 'algemeen Nederlands' is derived from 16th century brabants, and in those days the most important part of Brabant was the region Leuven-Antwerp-Brussels-Mechelen so our prononciation is correct. Your pronounciation of the 'g' however, never fails to send shivers of disgust down my spine (fyi I live 10 mins from the dutch border so that happens pretty often).
The people from the region of Bruges seem to speak an entirely different language than dutch tough. It really sounds like afrikaans.
