Holy crap man, this game looks awesome. I'll definitely be buying it. When does it come out?

Sorry RisingSun, all I know is what's on the site - which doesn't look like it's been updated since about March http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-anxious.gif

I know the game designer's work - he, Norm Koger, seems to make pretty hardcore wargames that are (a) fun; and (b) polished/patched. Age of Rifles is one of my all time favorite wargames - I've haven't played a better tactical nineteenth century wargame. I was less taken by the Operational Art of War (more hardcore, less fun) but it is incredibly ambitious - allows you to design any operational level engagement in the twentieth century. The Russo-Japanese naval game sounds more focussed than those two, but intriguing.

The real selling point for me is that your actions echo all around the theater/world. That is more than any other game can vouch for. That I know of at least.

Great find Very, very, very cool. Nice to see a wargaming great like Norm Koger move beyond the realm of hexes and traditional turn based gameplay. It also looks like Norm took a page or two from Fighting Steel's book of gameplay. Not a bad thing at all. Perhaps the most shocking development is the excellent graphics. Norm's older games were never known for their eye candy.

The detail for both the ship stats and graphics looks very good. I hope it plays better than Fighting Steel. In FS the ships never seemed to hit one another enough even at very close range.

I wished this game would let you run the ships from a first person perspective.
