Don't throw your keyboard away That's probably the code they use in the secret, third Tavern forum. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

after so many years of being on the internet and other networks, and reading the various versions of 'english' i've seen folks use, it's still surprising a bit that i can understand almost everything you type :)

you might be able to disassemble that keyboard and clean it and put it back together. but with keyboards being so cheap these days, i'm not sure it's worth it. and some keyboards are a hassle to do this with, some not. i've done this on some older ones before. and if you just want to do a limited cleaning, you can usually pull the plastic covers off each key. most of them just snap on and off. this can give you more access and space to the areas that need cleaning without having to disassemble completely.

good luck :)

I could have done all of that, but I'm lazy and in the end I decided to just go to Wal-Mart and buy one of those wireless keyboards.

Now I just have to get my monitor repaired. It keeps blacking out except for one thin horizontal line in the center, like it is about to do right now. I better post this before it happens.

When they work they are. When everything is going wrong and malfunctioning, they definitely are not much fun. Well...it was kind of fun to type with that old keyboard, in a way.

I just can't believe that my Alienware computer is breaking down like this. First the monitor, then the keyboard. What's next? I suppose the modem will stop working, then the sound card, then everything will just quit on me.
