Reconquista1.0 uploaded

I've just uploaded the 1.0 version of the Reconquista mod for SP campaign. (I am not sure if it was the correct way, but I didn't find a better way). It has been divided into 8 rar files because of the large total size (12 MB). The extraction of the part1 regenerates the whole folder.

Instructions for installation:

1) Fresh MTW-VI installation.
2) Unzip the whole mod (it has the proper directory structure)
3) In Textures\campmap\Reconquista there are two jpg files (MapTex and MapTex2). It is necessary to convert them into tga files (finally they must be 9 MB and 36 MB in size).
4) The folder campmap\Portraits\Reconquista is empty. It is necessary to copy there the whole folders campmap\Portraits\Catholic and campmap\Portraits\Muslim
5) The folder campmap\pieces\Reconquista is also empty.
Copy there the 4 following folders: campmap\pieces\Agents; campmap\pieces\buildings; campmap\pieces\Ships and campmap\pieces\Units
6) It is the Spanish version (sorry). Copy the files in the Loc\Spanish directory in the Loc\yourlanguage directory. Unfortunately you will find some Spanish texts in your game, but I hope it will work. (English version will be considered for a further release).

Features:
1) 14 playable factions: 7 catholic factions and 7 muslim factions.
2) A completely new map of the Iberian peninsula with 71 regions.
3) This version1.0 includes all the files in Reconquista0.3 (by CeltiberoMordred). So it is not necessary to download also this mod. If it is installed, the old files will be overwritten.

I hope it works and many players will give their opinion about it. I'll be on holiday for 3 weeks, so no feedback from me in that period.

All the campaign related stuff has been my personal work. I beg your comprehension if you find too many bugs or mistakes.

Played about 75 years then got a CTD. It was from the strategic map, after clicking end turn button. A battle was supposed to happen, but they decided to retreat. I got as far as seeing that message, but got the CTD right after that.

Any ideas?

Well i downloaded all files then extracted the first file(wich is supposed to regenerate the whole folder) then i copied all files into the MTW directory.

i can play custom battles but the campaing is not working, it crashes in the load screen.
It must be the map thing

could anyone tell me how to change the map into a tga file? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-help.gif

Search for image converter on google and it comes up with 5 million results. Just choose on which converts jpg to tga and run it.

Thanks i still have some kinks to iron out because the game crashes right after i choose to start campaing, but i think i can find out what it is.

By the way are you supposed to just copy the files into the MTW directory or install them into their respective files one by one?

I installed it, everything is were you said it should be and it doesn't work.
The campaing loading screen shows up it begins to load and right before it's finished , bam ctd.

I really have no idea why it doesn't work.
Any chance the english version will be self-install? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

I think this is because you haven't copied the files from teh Loc\Spanish folder into your Loc\English folder.

No i did that. The names of the units and the names of the factions show up just fine. I can play custom battles and i can see all units and all factions in spanish. As soon as i go to campaing load screen then i get a CTD

But still are you supposed to just place the spanish folder in loc or place the contents of the spanish folder into loc file.
I put the contents of the spanish folder in to loc/english file because it was the only way i saw the names correctly in the faction select screen.
Is that my problem?

I get exactly the same problem. Loaded up all files and put em in the correct folders, go to faction select screen ok, but click on start campaign and its hello desktop.
