Any expiriences with the historical battles? https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-book2.gif

All the battles in the alexander campaign are great. Themopayle is great and very enjoyable. The toughest battle is the battle the last battle in pel campaign, the one where you ally watches the spartans and other enemy destroy you without committing the general unit which could turn the tide https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I think you did a fantastic job with the historical battles. There are only two I haven't finished yet (Delium and Leuctra). Everything that I've played so far has managed to capture the feel of the historical battle. Quite an accomplishment.

Gaugemela might have been my favorite. Strangely enough, I think I had the hardest time with the Granicus. I think that was just my fault, it was one of the first things I played in HTW, and I don't think I was playing the phalanxes aggressively enough. I needed to charge with them instead of receiving attacks.

It was a nice touch in Issus and Gaugemela to have Darius in charge of the weakened Guard cavalry. I was able to use fairly historical tactics and get the right effect.

The maps were all great Thanks for the hard work.
