Sorry for asking, but I think the question is adequate for this forum. Where are the MTW avatars? ~

Yes and I would also like to know where my custom one has gone?! :(

It is like the kensai one I am using, but had spammer in red in back, I would like to keep using it because I quite liked the old geezer :(

I triple that, the avatar selection is kind of poor, with so many members and all. I would like to see the MTW ones come back. ~

Old beardy BKS lives on in my sig, but I'm hoping for him back soon. I PM'd Tosa on the old boards about this, and he said the Avatars would be up presently.

Well, I want my Bishop avatar back too, but I'm sure Tosa will get round to it when he's done the other 27 bazillion things he needs to do on the new boards

There are indeed a couple of things to do, but I'm currently 'idle', so I'm adding MTW avatars. The batch tool does proces 5 at a time, which is already faster than doing it all by hand. But it's taking its time.

I'm doing it systematically and started with MTW Catholics. Which is going to be next? Request will be granted.

1405 Muslim avatars imported. You may find a different number, depending on your postcount and account status. It's something like:

Emissary 200 posts and up for everyone.
Mullah 300+, Ulama 400+ for Senior Patrons and up.
Admiral 500+, General 600+, Misc 1,000+ for Members and up.
Prince and King 0+ for Senior Members.

Your Administrative Majesty, Tosa Inu Sama,

May I respectfully reportt that the Saladin avatar is missing. ;)

Thank you, will the R:TW avatars all be brought back as well?

Hello Mouzafphaerre,

Just TosaInu will do fine.

The Saladin is not missing. It's the Misc category and the arbitrary requirement for that is 1,000 posts.

All avatars became available at 500 posts in Ikonboard. They come available bit by bit now.

There are a couple of good reasons and I also want to satisfy my own thirst to knowledge now. It will be custom for you, if you remove it you'll have to wait till 1,000 posts to be able to select it again.

This one Mouzafphaerre?
This board does it nicely, only drawback: it's some work to scroll through 2179 avatars. I'll take it into account when assigning names to the other customs.

Sigurd Fafnesbane, customs will come back too.

mablung of the heavy hand, RTW avatars use the same system: a few are available right away, the rest will be unlocked when you make more posts.

TosaInu sama,

I had a Pagan Avatar which I chose during the short period of time when they were avaiable to all.
Will I be able to choose it again?
Anyway, I humbly request them (the Pagans) to be brought on next.

Only the orthodox avatars have to be added now.

R'as al Ghul, that was an edit of the code. This board works entirely different.

There are 30 different sets of avatars. First you set which membergroups can choose an avatar from a given set. Then you fill each set with avatars, that can be from different directories. Each avatar can be set to become available for a certain amount of posts made. All but one Pagan Admiral becomes available at 500 posts, the General at 700 and the Khan at 1200.

Everyone will be able to choose an avatar, but people who made more posts and/or have a 'higher' account, have more choice.

TosaInu,

I was just looking at my choices and found my avatar. :jumping: Hurray, I've my face back.
It was however the only avatar avaiable from that set which seems to have disappeared now that I chose it. Was this a courtesy from you?
If so, many thanks.

Member.....Senior Member....I've always wondered just how this is decided. It can't be post count and nor should it be but when I see Senior Members who have registered within only a few months and Members who have been here years it all seems a bit stupid.
Senior members should be registered longer than Members otherwise it's totally pointless

Someone should publish MTW avatars as a mod.

And that is a PERFECTLY good reason to bring up a thread over 4 YEARS OLD.

No wonder you are still a junior member after a year.

Very poor form.

Very poor form.

I think that's unnecessarily harsh. He is sill a junior member probably due to not making many posts since joining and thus not making a full contribution. Or any contribution that could be recognised by the staff.

It is "very poor form" to be constantly pointing the finger of blame in all directions when there is no basis or justification for such reprimanding. You will not impress anyone with such behaviour and it is hardly becoming of a Senior Member to conduct one's self in such a fashion. If you feel that someone else is in the wrong you can still be polite to them.

If you see such a post then it is a good idea to politely advise the member that this is in fact a "necro post" and nothing more. If you feel the need to you can inform the Moderator of the forum in question.
